The Columbarium Committee manages the sale of Columbarium space and assigns all niches; maintains accurate, permanent records; and notifies representatives of the deceased of any relocation plans.
A columbarium is a special facility that contains niches for urns holding the cremated remains of loved ones. We believe that the columbarium at Holy Trinity is an expression of faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ and a gift of eternal life we are all promised through Holy Baptism. Those who are eligible for interment include congregation members, former members, and pastors past and present and their spouses, parents, children and grandchildren. The reservation of niches, like the reservation of cemetery plots, makes the columbarium self-perpetuating and permanently maintained.
Our coulmbarium has 91 niches, and more than half are still available. Each niche holds two urns, and the cost is $2,000. One may purchase the entire niche or make arrangements for placement of a single urn. At the time of purchase a contract is signed, and a payment schedule will be determined.
