The 2012 Mission Plan and Budget that was approved by the congregation in December represents the Council's best effort to balance available resources with needs. But some unmet benevolence needs remain, and with additional giving we can step up to address these. The Stewardship Committee recommends making donations to these unmet needs in one of three ways:
First, special envelopes marked "Unmet Benevolences" will be placed in the pews for this purpose, and any donations in those envelopes will go directly to a fund that will be divided among the various items and charities for which the approved budget did not meet the original requested sums.
Second, the regular offering envelopes have a space marked "Other" and amounts entered there and marked for "Unmet Needs" will also go into this fund.
Third, a similar "Other" category is available in the online giving form, and marking that for "Unmet Needs" will also contribute to the fund. Click here here to donate online.

The initial shortfall between the requested budget amounts for the various items and the anticipated pledged offering and other income is approximately $30,000. Monthly updates on the gap as it is reduced by additional giving will be included in Luthertidings. It is our goal to have these unmet benevolence needs fulfilled by our July 8th One Hundredth Anniversary celebration.
Members who have a special interest in a particular unmet benevolence need can also make a contribution directly to that item, by using the same "Other" designation and writing in the specific recipient. Several of the major unmet needs are listed below. Also, please remember that it is always possible to make a donation directly to a charity.
However you choose to help, we strongly encourage you to step up to the challenge of our unmet benevolence needs.
