Worship & Music Committee

The Worship & Music Committee serves the worship services at Holy Trinity in accordance with ELCA liturgical practices. We coordinate the efforts of volunteers who serve as ushers, lectors, communion assistants, assisting ministers, musicians, and members of the Altar Guild. This effort not only ensures that worship is spiritual and profound, but also that it is widely participatory, in keeping with the traditions of the Christian Church.

Among the committee's most important duties is the direction and nurture of Holy Trinity's glorious musical ministry. We support an extraordinary professional staff and a host of talented parishioners in leading worship and praising God through song, both contemporary and traditional. An artist-in-residence program has been established to support the Chancel Choir.

We have also sponsored a number of exciting events, including special concerts featuring our organist Eric Sparks, our pianist Susan Lohr, performances by two new ensembles (the youth bell-choir and "Strings," a new string ensemble), the fourth biennial "Spring Ring," and special services of evening prayer.

The committee is continually challenged to look forward and backward to ensure that our services are meaningful, theologically appropriate, and relevant. In this crucial enterprise, we need and value new points of view and earnestly seek the participation of new committee members and volunteers. To serve, please contact:
